ScanLife Q4 Mobile Barcode Trend Report Signals Mass Consumer Adoption with the Addition of 3 Million New Users.
What: The newest version of the ScanLife Mobile Barcode Trend Report, has been released covering Q4 2011, and putting a close to the most significant year for mobile barcode growth. In addition to continued 2D barcode (QR Code) adoption among marketers and media publishers, Q4 proved to be a big period for attracting new users with more than three million ScanLife app activations representing a 360 percent increase over the same period in 2010.
Why: The purpose of the Q4 2011 Mobile Barcode Trend Report is to provide an analysis of consumer scanning traffic & marketer adoption of both two dimensional barcodes (i.e. QR Codes) and UPC barcodes. Key findings included:
